These Several Other Lives: Part I

Chapter 7: Hearing Echoes -Determining the Size of Your Chamber
The mind is not empty that is filled with echoes. If more voices occupy that mind, it is not big enough. This isn’t to say that you need a bigger mind so it can be filled with even more voices ~ [but] it is to say that being able to manage a small region *should* give you the discipline to manage a bigger area. Changing size means changing strategies and change (more often than not) means progression (even if regression. At the end of the day, change is neither good nor bad because it is the process by which you acquire the end result). But, this is not the space for lauding process so much as processing out why echo chambers are obviously bad and insidiously dangerous -as such must be fought. We are not all born fighters but we must all learn to fight. It’s not enough that everything seems to be stacked against you but that you must also fight yourself. Reality says you have many fronts to engage however, the secret is there is one battle. Your self must not be ‘presentable’ -not comfortable and [also] not divided. It must also not be strong. ‘Strength’ is outwardly projected and extolled and desired. But it is ‘weakness’, vulnerability, that must be shown, accepted, confronted, accounted for and shared. Not solved. Not eradicated.

If there are many voices in your mind, you need to reoccupy yourself. How many residence(s) does it [need/have to] take to be a self? You don’t know yourself therefore you can’t reconcile yourself to yourself. You wish to ‘find’ yourself, but what are you doing out there that you can’t find in yourself if you were still long enough for such a (re)discovery? Inner.outer.inner. Not outer inner (outer). It seems so evident that what happens first begins within yet…to have to say it attests to the fact that most people are conditioned to believe external-internal-external. It is exactly backwards and as such must shift. Given that you wish to protect yourself the improper internal [action] you [commit to] do[ing] is projection. You can NOT control the outcomes, only your reactions to situations. You create [societal] rules [roles] and policies, affecting a ‘respectability’ politics that has nothing to do with others except for the image/expectations you cast upon them. You convince yourself that your voice is the right one but aggressions-make-correct had never been proven to be the best solution. Aggression (*and yes, I am indeed lumping all together because it results in the same problems we are and have been facing. That light (connectivity) amplified the ancient issue does not mean your ‘solutions’ to it are ‘bad’, rather highlights who should be weeded out and isolated for their continued [willful] ignorance.) has proven to be effective for efficiency’s [simplicity’s] sake, beneficial to none. For were it to be beneficial, you would also be content. Advantageous in maintaining dominance, absolutely. However, there’s nothing like losing that authority that elevates your fear. What should you have been doing instead of creating false realities ~ you were simply running from your inner demons. [Therefore] Your invention is destruction bred from inner turmoil ~ not stemming from an inner desire to create from the beauty of your mind. Congratulations, you’ve made the world more dangerous by being the one who is most dangerous. The same results stem from contempt and jealousy of an established order. Even in chaos, there is an order. You want to construct chaos of your own design [or your own order from chaos] and encourage those who live differently, that yours is The way. Even if you are correct, it’s not just that there are ‘more paths’ that lead to The Truth, but that everyone is at a different point on that (the) process(es). So, it is not our calling in life to make everyone else arrive at The Truth, but to be WITH those on that process together: we are our brothers’ keepers -not saviors. This bears repeating: don’t be prideful enough to believe telling others what to do is the same as being with others on that journey -if you are a leader, then *precedent as a leader -but we are all at various aspects more followers than leaders although we also all must lead. We Are our brothers’ keepers.
